Privacy
The short, honest version of what Llwybr stores and why.
An account stores three things: your display name, your email address, and your level progress (which levels you have finished and your best stars). Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed) — nobody can read them, including us.
Your email address is used only to log you in and to send a password-reset link if you ask for one. Llwybr never sends marketing and never shares or sells any information.
You don't have to use a real name anywhere on the site. If you're under 13, ask a parent or guardian to agree before signing up, and use their email address.
You can play the whole game without an account — your progress is then kept only in your own browser, on that computer.
If your school signed you up, your account was made from a class list: your name, the class you are in, and (if your school sent one) its own pupil number. Your teacher can see which levels you have finished and the Python you wrote in them, and can issue you a new PIN. Pupil accounts have no email address at all.
The site counts visits with Plausible, a cookie-free analytics tool we run ourselves. It does not identify or track individual people.
To delete an account and everything stored with it, email privacy@llwybr.co.uk and it will be removed.
